Boheme by Paripari | The Jewel Edit
“Where the shore meets the sacred.”
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Ghungroo Cowrie Choker is the most Indian piece in the Jewel Edit — and perhaps the most unforgettable. A dense bed of hand-placed white cowrie shells sits proud on a natural jute base, each shell nestled snugly against the next in a formation that is both tribal and deeply contemporary. Threaded between them, tiny silver seed beads catch the light like morning dew on sand. And then — the detail that makes everything — a row of delicate silver ghungroo bells hanging from the lower edge, swaying gently with every movement, whispering with every step.
Ghungroos have adorned the ankles of Indian classical dancers for centuries. They carry the memory of rhythm, femininity, and grace. Here, they travel upward — to the throat, the pulse point, the place where breath lives — and become something entirely new.
This choker does not sit quietly. It hums. It moves. It remembers.
Handcrafted with patience and precision, every cowrie is placed by hand, every ghungroo tied individually. No two pieces are identical. Each one carries the quiet signature of the artisan who made it.
This is not just a necklace. It is a piece of living craft.
STYLING
Wear over a simple cream or ivory linen dress and let the choker command the neckline completely. Style with a deep V-neck or square-neck top in white, sand or sage to showcase the full shell and bell detail. For festive occasions, layer over a handloom silk or cotton saree blouse — the ghungroos echo beautifully against draped fabric. Pair with a strappy linen camisole and wide-leg trousers for an elevated boho evening look. For destination weddings or beach ceremonies, wear with a breezy white maxi and bare feet — the bells will do the rest. Keep all other jewellery completely minimal. Statement earrings are unnecessary. This piece is the statement.

Fits true to your size. Refer to our size chart and measuring table for assistance. We recommend buying one size up if you wear a half size or have wide feet. As all our Espadrilles are hand stitched, they will feel a bit snug when fresh out of the box, however, they will loosen up and acquire the natural shape of your feet with usage.
All our creations are handcrafted and hold artisanal value. To ensure this pair stays as a wardrobe staple longer, please ensure special care. Spot clean with a slightly damp cloth. Rough use in rain and rough terrain is not recommended.
